Your use of our website is governed by our Website Terms of Use. Please take the time to read this, as it includes important terms which apply to you.

The images of COA Campgrounds on our website are for illustrative purposes only. Although we make every effort to present a true reflection of COA Campgrounds and their surroundings, there may have been changes to either since the images were taken.

You may view prices of sites/ pitches at COA Campgrounds and make bookings, subject to availability, for sites/ pitches at COA Campgrounds, through our website, our booking App or via our contact centre.

2. How we use your personal information

We only use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy. Please take the time to read these, as they include important terms which apply to you.

3. Booking and Paying for your Arrangements

Members are encouraged to place a new booking via the COA website, however you can also book directly with each COA Campground. Bookings will be confirmed in real-time, and your credit card debited according to the terms of the rate selected for the booking. There may be extra charges, (e.g. key deposit) that are payable upon arrival at the property.

Our booking process allows you to check and amend any errors before submitting your booking directly to the campground. Please take the time to read and check your booking at each stage of the booking process. Please notify us of any errors in pricing or changes to your details that impact on your confirmed booking as soon as you become aware of them. You may amend your personal and booking details online. We cannot be held responsible if a change in your details means we can no longer accommodate you or your outfit at a COA Campground.

A booking, and binding contract, is made with us when you complete our booking process including payment by you of the applicable minimum required deposit and we issue you with a booking confirmation.  Upon receipt, if you believe that any details on the booking confirmation or any other document are wrong you must advise us immediately.  We reserve the right to return your deposit and decline to issue a booking confirmation at our absolute discretion.

A binding contract is also made when a booking and required payments take place at the campsite itself, for example when arriving at a campsite and placing a booking.

a) Non-refundable rate

Your credit card will be charged for your full stay at the time of the booking. Bookings are completely non-refundable and non-transferable.

b) Specials and packages

Your credit card will be charged for your full stay at the time of the booking. All specials and packages are non-refundable unless otherwise stated on the booking page.

c) Membership

d) Non-member supplement

A non-member supplement applies to any site/ pitch and is chargeable on a per night basis. To avoid this fee non-members are encouraged to join the COA Club and become a member either before or upon the arrival date (we cannot refund non-member supplements mid-way through a stay on one of our campsites, we can only do this before or at the point of arrival).

e) Age

Any guests under 18 years old must be travelling with a responsible adult. A responsible adult is defined as: A parent, guardian, or step-parent, grandparent, sibling, spouse who is over the age of 18 years; a person 18 years or over who is acting in place of a parent and who could reasonably be expected to exercise responsible supervision of the minor – for example, a sporting coach, responsible carer or supervisor or teacher. Please refer to COA's Child Safety Policy for full details.

Guests under the age of 18 years must never be booked or stay in co-living (shared) rooms. If you are travelling with children and booking a cabin, please make sure you book a private room. Children must be directly supervised at all times while on a campground. Some campgrounds have licensed bar areas and require all guests under 18 to be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian in these areas.

f) Maximum stay durations

The maximum stay duration on COA Campgrounds varies between 21 and 28 days. This information is made clear on each campground website page. Plus, at the point of booking, availability will be limited within the calendar to reflect the maximum stay duration. You will be required to provide two days (nights) absence from an individual campsite between sequential stays where each stay extends to the maximum stay duration.

However, you are freely able to move from one COA Campground to another on consecutive days and enjoy up to the maximum duration at each campground (i.e. the two day absence period does not apply when moving from one campsite to another).

4. Price of site/ pitches and Accuracy

The published/advertised prices are valid only for the duration that those prices are published and are subject to change at the sole discretion of the campground. In the event that published prices change, the new published prices will apply to new bookings made and the old published prices will not apply to new bookings.

We make every effort to display prices on our website and booking confirmation correctly. However occasionally changes and errors occur and we reserve the right to correct prices and other details in such circumstances.

From time to time, we may need to make changes to the published prices after your booking has been confirmed. In such circumstances, the following may apply: (a) where the revised price is less than the price stated in the booking confirmation, we may charge the lower amount; (b) if the revised price is higher than the price stated in the booking confirmation, we will contact you as soon as possible to inform you of this change and provide you the option of continuing your booking at the revised price or cancelling your booking (if we are unable to contact you using the contact details you provided during the booking process, we will treat the booking as cancelled and notify you in writing); or (c) where the revised price is higher or less than the price stated at the time of booking we may leave your booking unchanged.

The price of a booking includes GST (where applicable) at the applicable current rate chargeable in AU for the time being. However, if the rate of GST changes between the date of your contract and the date of your stay, we will adjust the GST you pay on any remaining payments.

5. How to pay

At the time of your booking, you will be asked to provide valid, up-to-date and complete credit and / or debit card details. Where you provide these details, you hereby directly authorise the applicable campground to bill such credit and / or debit card at the time of the booking in respect of the applicable rate at the time of the automatic balance payment. The COA booking site accepts the following debit and credit cards: MasterCard and Visa.

COA does not have any involvement or responsibility for the booking. Your booking is being made with the campground directly, as such terms and conditions will be provided by the campground and should be provided upon reservation. Any requests to transfer or cancel a booking should be made by contacting the campground directly.

6. Additional Changes

Switching site/ pitch type:

You may switch the site/ pitch type booked prior to arrival or upon arrival, subject to the availability of alternative pitch types. Where you switch pitch type more than 21 full days notice of the arrival date, if the price of the new pitch type is lower than the original pitch booked by you, your price will adjust and any balancing payment remaining on the booking will reduce. Where the price of the new pitch is higher you will be required to pay additional costs. Where you provide less than 21 full days notice you may switch to a cheaper pitch type but your price will not reduce; where you select a higher priced pitch you will be required to pay additional costs.

Switching campsite:

You may switch the campsite booked prior to arrival. Where you switch campsite booked more than 21 full days notice of the arrival date, you may do so by cancelling your original booking on our website or mobile App without penalty and placing a new booking at the new campsite (we will refund you the deposit on the original campsite booking and you will need to pay a new deposit for the new campsite booking). Alternatively you may call our contact centre who can process your change request.

Where you provide less than 21 full days' notice of your arrival date, we may be able to process your request to switch campsites in our contact centre only, providing the original booked dates (and therefore duration) remain unchanged. Additional costs may apply.

Where we are unable to assist you and you do not wish to proceed with the original booking we will treat this as a cancellation by you. A cancellation fee may be payable in accordance with the paragraphs above.

Want to change Club campsites whilst on holiday? If it’s for the same dates, that’s fine, you won't lose your deposit - you can do this with help from site staff only. For example, you can shorten your stay at the campsite you’re on, providing you book an alternative Club campsite for the same dates. You can also do the reverse - extend the stay at the campsite you’re on and shorten your stay at the campsite you were due to visit.

7. Cancellations

IMPORTANT: Cancellation Terms and Conditions vary according to the rate purchased. If you need to cancel a booking you will need to contact the campground directly by phone or email. You may also contact our central reservations team by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Please allow at least 7-10 business days for processing of refunds by the campground. Without exception, all refunds will be deposited to the original credit card used for your booking.

Additional Information

Specific terms & conditions may apply for bookings booked during peak or events periods, with a minimum nights' stay, for example: Significant sporting, art, or music events, Easter, Australia Day, New Year's Eve, etc.

If you do not arrive and do not contact the property to cancel prior to the cancellation time - the property reserves the right to cancel your booking and resell the bed/room and you may be charged a cancellation fee.

8. Arrival and staying

Guests are not required to be vaccinated when staying at COA campgrounds across Australia unless there is a local health order in place as per the Safety at Campgrounds. If you are required to self-isolate or quarantine, please be advised you cannot be accommodated at a COA campground until after this has been completed.

Please ensure you check the reception hours of the campground. If you are arriving outside of reception opening hours, please contact the campground directly at least 24 hours ahead of your arrival. All guests are required to provide valid photo ID at check-in. Failure to provide government-issued, valid photo identification will result in your booking being cancelled by COA.

Only some properties are suitable for wheelchair access. Please check the campground information or contact the individual campground directly before making an online booking. You must comply to the Campground Rules throughout your stay.
