We are very proud to announce that the COA Adventure Camp Public Liability Insurance Program has been secured, which includes a 'master' insurance policy held by COA, which notes participating adventure camps within the policy and each camp applies for and receives their very own AUD $20M public liability insurance policy and summary schedule. We guarantee our insurer will get you a quote for your adventure camp otherwise we will refund your membership!
To access the Program, adventure camps must purchase the Adventure Camp Membership with COA. Depending on the membership chosen, camps may be required to go through an accreditation process to be health and safety compliant with the relevant State/ Territory Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act.
The COA Adventure Camp Membership process is as follows:
- Apply and pay for COA Adventure Camp Membership;
- Once membership is approved our WHS partner company will be in touch directly with you to get your Emergency Management Plan (EMP) produced if you have chosen for us to supply you with risk management manuals.
- Once the EMP is complete we'll send you the COA Adventure Camp Insurance Proposal Form to complete and return;
- Our insurer will get back to you usually within a week or so with a very affordable quote. We guarantee that if our insurer does not provide you with an appropriate quote, we'll refund your membership fee!
- The COA WHS Officer and or Assistant will visit and perform a physical WHS Audit of your camp ASAP if we are supplying the risk management; and
- Each adventure camp accredited with COA will undergo numerous inspections throughout the membership period to ensure ongoing compliance to WHS and the EMP.
Coverage in the Program includes Public Liability with a limit of $20M, Care Custody and Control of $100K. Excess payable by the Adventure Camp Member is $1,000. Adventure camps with 3 or more in their group receive a 20% discount. Ready to take the next step? Join COA today!
